Guardian · Wanha' collection

MELITA, the Melipona bee
Territory: Network of flowers · stingless beekeeping.
If you came here using the code on your card, you already have this Guardian at home: this is its page. Here are its cards, its story and the door to the game.
You know the mood of the ones from home.
A line from the deck.
This Guardian's world now goes with you: the next door you open will remember who you chose.
Its name
Why MELITA?
It comes from Melipona, a genus of native stingless bees, and it sounds like the Spanish word for “honey.” It is easy to say, and it stays with you: just what such a small Guardian needs.
Proposed by Alexander Priego Valles in the naming contest for the Wanha' Guardians. See the results

Three cards from the deck
How much do you know about this Guardian's world?
An encounter from the deck
“These bees don't sting; they're the old kind, the natives. I keep them in logs like my grandfather did. Each one tells me, with its buzz, whether it's content or short of flowers. It's a matter of knowing how to listen.”
Two challenges for this week

The story
The Queen Who Never Saw a Flower
MELITA is the queen of a log full of bees and has never seen a flower: she knows the world only from what her daughters tell her, and each one tells it differently. Outside live some very strange giants, and the smallest of them is afraid of the bees. This story is seen from inside the log.
24 illustrated pages. Ages 10 and up.
