FAUNA Guardianes: a board game where no one wins alone
Each player accompanies a Guardian: a real animal or plant that protects its territory in Mexico.
Facing them are the Villains: silence, heat, plastic and devastation. If the Guardians stand firm, everyone at the table wins. If not, everyone at the table loses. Every game tells a different story.
How to play
One board, three dice and four types of cards
The Guardians move across the board. On each turn, a card comes up and is read aloud at the table. The Villains start ahead: it takes everyone together to catch up with them.
PulseNews from the territory. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. It moves the score in favor of the Guardians or the Villains.
EncounterA scene with someone who cares: a fisherwoman, a biologist, a neighbor. It almost always brings hope.
ChallengeA real-life commitment. Each player answers “I already do it,” “I'll try it” or passes.
TriviaA question with three answers, at three levels of difficulty. Everyone thinks it through together.Try it: this is a real Trivia card.
Your first game
Three steps and you're already playing
- Get the board. Print it for free on four letter-size sheets (in Spanish), or order the Board Set.
- Choose your Guardians. At least two. Their cards are online, and they also come printed in every Guardian Pack.
- Open the console. It is free, and it runs the deck, the score and the dice from a phone. The game itself happens on the board, between all of you.
